  • The office of Senator the Hon Chris Evans, Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills, Science and Research issued a media release: New CRC to cut carbon in built environment
  • Australian Financial Review: Low-carbon centre opens.The $100 million Cooperative Research Centre for Low Carbon Living has been launched at the University of NSW to look at greenhouse gas reduction in the built environment.
  • Launceston Examiner: A new $100 million research centre will help cut Australia's carbon emissions by an extra 10 megatonnes a year by 2020, the University of New South Wales says. Government, industry and domestic and foreign universities have cofunded the co-operative research centre.
